Fir Tree Junior School Admissions
We welcome inquiries from parents of children age 7-11 years. We would be delighted to show you around our school to help you choose the school that is right for your child. Procedures for applications can be found at .  For children starting in Year 3 parents can fill in an application listing up to 3 schools in preference order. The Admissions Department at Oxfordshire County Council will then offer you schools taking into account your choices and a number of other factors including where you live or whether your child has siblings at the school.
For admissions at any other time of year, please call the school office on 01491 836341 or email to arrange a visit and meet the Headteacher, or alternatively contact Admissions at Oxfordshire County Council on 0345 241 2487.

In choosing the school for your child, there is an open morning in the Autumn term to allow time for you to make your preferred choices before the application cut-off date.
We value the opportunity to get to know our new children starting in Year 3 and their families. Our transition process starts in the Summer term, where the Year 2 children join us for an assembly, followed by an assembly and playtime and finally there is a ‘Changeover’ day for the Wallingford Partnership of Schools on the first Tuesday in July, where the Year 2 children join us for the whole day and get to know their new teachers. A complimentary school lunch is provided on this day. In addition, there is an evening meeting and uniform sale for the new parents who will be joining us in September.
